steve.brookstein the best song I've been involved in writing. Wrote it in a hotel room in LA in 2000. The wonderful vocals of Katie Jackson. If you ever lost someone I hope this song moves you. Peace and love x written by myself, katie Jackson and Livi Brown.

197.825“this demo was written with and sung by Katie Jackson in one afternoon in 1998 (i think). This song was a Simon Banks at TELSTAR Records who wanted to sign Katie. We ended up doing a deal with Columbia Records in the USA but the album was never released. Simon Banks went on to manage KT Tunstall. Katie Jackson remains one of my favourite UK singers. She was only 17 when see did this vocal. A wonderful talent that never had her chance to really shine. Very sad but i hope you like this song and discover her work. ” -

260.023“I first asked to perform Dance With My Father every week of The X Factor finals in 2004 but was refused. It was then recorded for my debut album and was due for release in June 2005 as the single to support the release of the album Heart and Soul. It was never released. I asked to leave the record label. I left SYCO 8 weeks later but it was reported by the tabloids that I was dropped. The album has now been taken off iTunes and Spotify. This account of the past has never been reported. The tabloid press maintain I was dropped and was a flop due to my lack of talent. I don't mind losing and failing if it's fair. I don't think this was fair. Manipulation of the tabloid press by Syco and Simon Cowell has been ruthless and continues. No doubt my name will be used to show what terrible acts have come through The X Factor. I hope you listen to this and know the truth. That's all.” -

199.419“A demo of a song that was not meant for me. I just did the vocal. The tempo is slightly to slow and some lyrics are wrong. The line "I was too slow" should be "Now, I'll never know". Infact that last verse should probably go. Problems with the song that we haven't bothered going back to fix. Maybe one day we will.” -
