pastamastaOur mayor Boris, a man doing a big job, still selflessly gives his time to take on a second job as a station announcer, regaling the happy commuter, each evening, over the tannoys at London's great Victorian rail termini, "This is the big one!" And, "Don't get caught out." Gosh! I'm now suitably chastened against getting caught out by the travel chaos which would be my own stupid fault for selfishly wanting to be in the office at 9 o'clock. Our politicians, so often pooh-poohed, and subjected to the calumnious allegation that the country is a shambles, deserve our astonished admiration for their ability to give such a damned good service to the nation.
