AndyThorpHi Annemarie, great clip and I firmly agree. It's about being yourself, but the best version of you that you can be. Have you come across Nick Morgan the public speaking coach in the US? He's coached speaking and Shakespeare at Princeton and he talks about the 'inside-out' approach to speaking coaching. So many coaches focus on mechanics, the nuts & bolts, but it just makes people very self-conscious about how they're speaking, standing or what they've doing with their arms. He (and I agree) suggests we start from the inside - what do you believe in, why do feel strongly about it? It's about going to the core and connecting with your real self, finding your authentic voice. Only then should you look at the outer mechanics if they're compromising the effectiveness of how you communicate. Anyway, enjoy your work very much and look forward to hearing more.
