ColtSeaversyeah, something i've thought about bud - but without saying too much, the aggrophobia wasn't actually related to people really, although obviously at it's peak it related to everything....it was as a result of having chronic irritable bowel syndrom for 7/8 years and crapping myself in public a few times :P < i can laugh about it now but at the time it was......(unquote)
that's the weired juxtaposition of my mental health - i'm actually incredibly social by nature, but what i want more than anything now, after 19 years in east london and 15 working in the city, is peace and quiet to enjoy with my wife and dog, and lots and lots of fresh air and walking. My GP has said up to 3 years for recovery, 1 year minimum, but i'm optemistic that it won't be an issue (fingers crossed etc).......and no need to apologise, I appreciate you engaging with the whole business bud 8)
skattyadzSorry if this comes over as bad taste or whatnot, but do you think theres a chance that moving too far away from human contact could prove to be a step backwards for the agoraphobia. Especially if you don't know anyone in the area.
Not judging, not anything, just something you might want to consider (depends on your definition of "in the sticks"!)
DanjwattsFunny that, as you we're talking about moving up north to Madchester area I instantly thought Buxton! I'd love to live there myself. That whole area is just magical. Chinley is another beautiful place but I'm sure all the areas around there are all fab. I have friends living around there myself and love to visit.
On a side note I like the new take on the profile pic/avatar!
