As you can imagine at the Institute we try hard not to be impartial on controversies where there will clearly be a range opinions. Instead I try to comment on 'process' aspects and in the Topic we published this week claimed that there are indeed circumstances where a selected audience ,might be okay.
I think people have to make their own judgements as to whether the PM was justified this week - and if you were to look at our three scenarios you might well argue that these conditions were not met. But I would leave that judgement to you ...

RadioKateGoing by your very own logic, your defence is that there might occasions where only those most involved in the implementation should be invited. Well given that clinical commissioning groups are to be made up of GPs, would you not think on this basis that it would be sensible to have invited the Royal College of GPs?
I'd be interested to hear your thoughts.
