KenVdMEfforts to fight homelessness in Downtown, Los Angeles, received a major boost. The Supportive Housing Recovery Initiative received 5.2 million dollars in donations, primarily from the Conrad Hilton Foundation, extending its long-term partnership with the Corporation for Supportive housing. The announcement was made at the Japanese American Museum in Downtown, Los Angeles, an area with an estimated 10,000 homeless people. The money will fill the funding shortage, and kick-start stalled supportive housing projects in the area.
Brainchild16I am an organ doner, but Its a personal choice. Your body is your temple and you get to decide what happens to it even if your no longer using it. I just don't see the point of keeping something I'm not going to use when someone else needs it. It just comes down to what you feel is right for you in your heart.
lol I've thought about that too...what if after you die you can still feel for a while. I think I want to be cremated but I have this little fear in the back of my mind that I will be able to feel myself burning...idk its silly.
muckdogLOL. Well, I can't do it either. I know it's probably a good thing to do because you're helping someone out who is on a waiting list. But...
yazpandaThanks for commenting! :D
And yeah, I just counted - 6 out of 12 of my boos are responses to you! (and another 3 are about Stickaid!) So when there is a proper response feature thingy, that'll be handy :) x
