Guide Dog Training Diary: Day 1 Part 1 - D-Day dawns
Quite possibly the most scary, traumatic and exciting day of my life rolled into one - the day I properly met and started training with m...
Slightly Tiddly Photomeet boo
This was my second attempt at 'in the field' social booing with some friends at a melbourne Flickr Photo meetup. The only problem with doing this is that we usually meet up at a pub somewhere after walking about for a bit (or not) Sometimes we skip the walk and just head straight for the pub. I had already had one beer when I decided to try this, so was a bit lightheaded already (I truly am a very cheap drunk) Anyway it was slightly chaotic (the initial one so much so that I thought it best to delete it, but I'm not sure if I should have done that now, just for archival sake). I used the pause resume function to capture a few comments from some of the people I knew there and this was the result. I forgot all about it until I got home which is why I am uploading it about 7 hours after the event...

Thanks for the Information - Sounds Like a Great Dog . Good Luck
This Boo was recorded on the 10th August 2009 as I began training with my first ever guide dog, Vance. Throughout the weeks that followed a recorded a number of audio diary entries charting my progression from novice trainee guide dog user to ... well ... slightly less novice guide dog owner. I will post these on audioboo in due course, as time allows. In the meantime I would be interested in the thoughts of anybody visiting this page and listening to these Boos. You might also wish to use this space to post any burning questions you might have about guide dog ownership. I can then try and answer them in my "How to work a guide dog" Boos. Finally (for now) I have two thank yous to make. Firstly to David Apps for loaning me his Microtrack II recorder - without whom this audio diary would not have happened. Secondly, I am also very grateful to the Audioboo team for allowing me to upload recordings over five minutes - this is very much appreciated.
