ColtSeaversIt feels like we were at different events. I took the presentation as a little bit more detail for core supporters and community members; an intro to the team etc., and above all low key and devoid of any sell!
It was a hugely 'human' approach - and remarkably laid back, ensuring no feeling of divide - just one big 'us'.
Having attended far more slick presentations in my career, which whilst information packed, we're entirely staged and impersonal, very much US and Them situations, I found it refreshingly relaxed and thought it helped the event feel more intimate. I hadn't even thought of it as a presentation till I listened to your boo - more of a quick break from the party to raise hands together for a product that is revolutionising social audio.
It's not that I don't appreciate entirely what you're saying - it's just that on this occasion > which wasn't a PR event - more a 'meet up' and party, since most the people there were existing users of the service, I thought the tone was spot on.
