    • macolgan Thank you.. it was fun to do :)
    • sm2n Congratulations on a cool interview!
    • macolgan To be perfectly fair to the guys, they have a very busy stall selling clothes and were pushing time so as now to lose custom. They "have" promised me a 'proper' session next time with pre tuned guitars, and perhaps a more appropriate 'studio' than the cab of their van. I suggested the rear of the van next time :)

    • apt Great idea. I'm no musician but I can see me contributing as would other non musical types.
    • ColtSeavers I'm not even suggesting mp3 support - i'm talking sketch pad, fun and inclusive. I mean to say that, for example, I record Boo A, people would simply download Boo A, or just play it out on speakers, adding their contribution live - rough and ready. They could check the levels of their boo to ensure their contrib sounds 'roughly' in the right volume area for the mix, and so on. It would be noisy, analogue and very rough and ready. BUT it would get musical peeps collaborating in a nicely free flowing way - and if they found they enjoyed collaborating, well, then it's time to use a more specific tool. I remember using Cubase with Rocket Networks - since gone bust - their product provided perfect sync between man A in the US and man B in the UK both working on the same track in Cubase at the same time. Bizarrely, nothing has come close since, but there are tools like on Hobnox that do a fair job of it.
    • tersh very good idea indeed. i'm finding it a great source of sample fodder for lots of stuff too. hopefully we will see more audio sketches soon!

This is a song I've been writing since Late summer, called Blaze. This album wants a theme of fire, as it keeps arising in multiple songs...

    • nezua Thanks! Tho I have to add this song has a head start on the rest. I've spent the most time yet on this one. The rest are not even fully shaped in terms of lyric, structure, or anything yet.
    • Cmcneill51 ohhh yeah this is the one!

    • robwebster First interview I ever did (in October '08), and sounds quite good all considering. Really enjoyed speaking to Jem, was an absolute pleasure. The original is about half an hour long, so there's one moment towards the start where it sounds like I ignore him talking about his phonebox. If anything I actually dwelled on it for too long, but it sounds a wee bit rude in the edit. It's not, honest!
