Whimsey of the Damned - Noel Diotte
Whimsey of the Damned - Noel Diotte,c2011. We’ve got to know if you’re going up or down to build the bridges or destroy the land Yankee ingenuity could do just about anything I’m laughing (hoping) while looking at the brink of the whimsy of the damned The bankers never talk about anyone dying not everyone needs enough to eat Everyone needs a safe place in the sun It’s time to take back our heritage from the whimsy of the damned I worry about my grandchildren to cook and be warm once the well is dry I try not to buy a dime for oil and war The children will remember the mistakes of the whimsy of the damned
Pride without money.
Thanks for the comments guys. Cyberdoyle I think you hit the nail on the head. Del, thanks as ever. Never fear writing all you are thinking. You always make great points that inspire me. I am sat in a hospitality tent at Superbikes right now. I wish i could say what i think to a few people involved in this crazily over indulgent sport. Still. I am here to help a friend who has worked hard to get where he is and where he is balances on a knife edge. More importantly than anything this is how he feeds his kids.
Hi Christian. A sober report and unfortunately a more common event and a personal dilemma that I can relate to. I was going to write a long comment as this has really stuck in my head but my words pale in significance and just sound preachy. But you've won half a battle by sharing your thoughts and maybe next time I'll be more aware and help someone else down the road. Our environment isn't just ground, sky, buildings but also people and sometimes real people are the easiest thing to ignore. Thanks for a very thought provoking 'Real' slice of life. Keep yourself and your family well, my friend.
That was really quite touching.
