I don't think I've ever stopped to listen to the true meaning behind those lyrics. Yes, dammit, we are all "beautiful" in our own right, and we all have something to give to the world and to others.
While the words of those around us can sometimes hurt, it is my hope that at some point those individuals get to realize the hurt they can cause simply through the words they choose or through their own actions.
There is already enough pain in the world, we shouldn't have to accept it from those who claim to love or like us. :-)
