4 Rifles soldier set to take on Base Camp of Mount Everest despite being paralyzed in his lower leg
Climbing to Mount Everest's base camp is no easy feat let alone if you are partially paralyzed. Well that's exactly what a Salisbury Plain soldier is going to attempt later this year. Jon Le Galloudec, is based with 4th Battalion, The Rifles at Bulford Camp in Wiltshire and along with his brother and Dad they plan to climb a staggering 17,590 feet – all to raise money for Help for Heroes

Strange noises on Salisbury Plain
The MOD are playing with guns on Salisbury Plain and it's making our house shake.
I love hearing the sound of the guns on the plain. For me in the village I grew up in - Winterslow- all you could hear was a low boom. I miss it up here in Hertfordshire. I hear the train on the tracks clanking and the sound tak es me home, then I remember I am not on Wiltshire soil.
