__loudmouthmanSo what security is there on that hard Disk ? because I can think of a few things this Hard Disk now contains.
1) Enough data to run against various Rainbow Tables to decrypt peoples usernames and passwords from secure encrypted connections.
2) Whole files and pictures which have been sent over that channel can be extracted from the jigsaw puzzle of data. What does that mean for piracy and copyright when every Wifi owner has a complete copy of data , music and films ?
3) All the evidence is circumstantial and at best not really verifiable since unless you digitally sign the network card, the operating system and every packet ( a huge overhead ) then its not unfeasible that I could a network connection to create a large amount of false and misrepresented data.
Bottom line Digital footprints are about as reliable as footprints in the sand. They are open to interpretation and the legal systems need a far better understanding of technology to appreciate why this is shoddy criminal surveillance .
