    • fidunn O, and I'm glad you enjoyed my silly bridge singing. :)
    • fidunn Excellent! I'm the posh one ... For once! ;) Bet Robert changes his pronunciation now! ;)
    • jn2n Yes, Fi, your pronunciation is Hochdeutsch, i.e. the equivalent of RP, so I guess that makes you quite posh. ;-)

    • cleanskies Hi Kathy, that sounds like a great project and I'm happy for you to use any of my birdsong boos for it. Hope it goes well! No worries about doing this via comment that works fine for me. Credit to cleanskies or Jeremy Day (http://jeremyday.org.uk/), would love to hear how it goes!
    • birdtwitchr HI Cleanskies hope you are well ! thanks for tagging this twitchr - it is on the twitchr birdsong soundmap! I'm getting in touch, because I'm doing a soundscape to encourage more people to upload birdsong sounds to twitchr. The soundscape will be playing at a festival in the woods, called Up To Nature, and i would like to include a number of uploads from the twitchr sound map I will credit all the "uploaders" included on a postcard that will also have details about the soundmap and how to take part. Would you be happy for me to include this recording in the soundscape - and of course - you will be credited as a contributor - with your audioboo username, (or another name if you prefer) so people can always check out your other recordings Let me know if you are OK with this, - you don't' have to do anything - just give me the thumbs up. Also - if you don't' want your recordings including - that's totally fine too!! - i completely understand! I hope to hear from you - sorry i had to do this as a public comment on your recording, - i can delete it later if you like! all best wishes Kathy (birdtwitchr) - or email reply on kathy [at] kathyhinde.co.uk

    • ian This sounds nice MammyBear1. I was able to just rent a single room for six months, I am one of the 90% of people in the UK who either can't get their first mortgage or who can't afford to rent a small flat.
    • MammyBear1 HI THERE IAN, I too know Henley on Thames rather well having lived in the lovely village of Hurley , half way between Henley and Maidenhead. I lived there for 23 years, in one of the most beautiful 700 year old manor houses in Berkshire, which had the oldest and best preserved Dovecotes in EXISTENCE. The house is called Tithe Cote Manor,It's front gate has a pathway which leads to Hurley lock, and to the Thames that runs alongside the wall, a wall of ernomous length, which encloses all the 3 acres of garden surrounding the house. I was responsible for designing the Lytch Gate, and my husband and I designed all the additions to the house. We added everything IN KEEPING with the lovely mature Manor House.. We also owned the property on the Bridge which was The Carpenters Arms but is now the Henley Regatta Headquarters, and this was also an event we attended for for many years and now thinkof with fond nostalgia every Summer, as we spend many of the 5 days of Henley on our 100 yea old steam launch, and attented the Henley Steam Ralley every year. OH YES although we now live in the Mediterranean sunshine , we do hold Henley, Hurley and England, very dear in our hearts and memories.
