chrisleeclarkHindhead has been notorious with motorists for decades for extending journey times on the A3 to or from Portsmouth, especially when, like today, there has been a traffic accident. The town will be bypassed next year through a tunnel that looks near-complete. Crawling around the Devils's Punchbowl at 5 mph may therefore soon be a thing of the past. I managed not to show my impatience on this occasion but the Burmese cat in the basket on the passenger's seat of my Alfa was less reluctant to complain.
bulldoziaHardly go anywhere without them. Trouble is I keep forgetting my woolly hat! I have quite a few semi-edited recordings from the last few months, I'd better look at again before uksm deadline.
soundmapMany thanks as ever, your recording's now on the UK Soundmap.
Very nice clear sound on this and other recordings. Are you still using your Soundman OKMs?
bulldoziaTowards the end of the Gourock-Dunoon Caledonian MacBrayne ferry crossing. Recorded announcement over the tannoy, shutters of the cafe-bar coming down, and the sound of the television struggling with bad reception during the Monaco Grand Prix. Binaural recording, Sunday 29 May 2011.
soundmapMany thanks, this is now on the UK SoundMap. There's a sound I haven't heard on the tube for a while, and that's the sort of brief and abrupt purring rattle made by trains at rest - I think it's something to do with a pneuamtic system of some kind on the train.
