SassyCatI am reminded of a time when i belonged to "Snapvine.com" and when this type of thing sould happen..it became so out of control after a while. When one person would "call out" another person for unfollowing because of something that was said openly...boiled down to throwing mud at each other, sides being taken...only in the "arena" of the website...
I personally am only upset if somene asks to be included on my personal facebook page and then they decide to leave. I "block" them afterwards...they chose to leave my inner circle, so there's no turning back...on other media sites, such as 4sq, audioboo, etc i am not upset ..i just figured it was something i said that they didn't agree with or like. Mostly I just ignore it..why? chase a person UNLESS i felt strongly about losing their friendship, make sense?
JacquelineBHi mac, lovely picture :)
I'm not with you on the unfollow question, I think there is no harm in unfollowing people if one wants to. In the same way I might go for coffee with someone for a while and might not want to do that anymore, so I don't. If they were to ask me why I would tell them but generally if you stop having coffee people know why. Also, other people use the follow in different ways, I for instance, follow people randomly and see if I like what they do, if I don't carry on liking what they do I will unfollow.
Interesting boo though and enjoyed hearing your thoughts.
Love
Jacqueline
sm2nThanks, Chris, it's been a fascinating discussion and I've learned a lot too. I still hope to learn more from Macolgan on the thread he raised.
PilgrimChris@sm2n You're right Simon I learnt a lot from your boos. I learnt that the silent unfollow is far more complex than I first thought. I didn't realise your own boo was inspired by mine so thank you for citing me and it has been a great boo topic. All the best mate.
sm2nDon't thank me for raising the subject – you raised the subject in the first place – http://audioboo.fm/boos/692675 – where you described the silent unfollower as shallow and lacking courage. I think we've all learnt something.
