bulldoziaKaty Perry sounded pretty good in the pool in the background as I stored my clothes in the locker in the changing area.. BInaural recording 4 May 2011.
JayaitchbeeCan it be left as a test recording. i'll try again with a better one. Appologies for any inconvenince cause. Kind Regards

soundmapThe wind noise rumble is pretty powerful. Do you want this to go on the UK Soundmap or just leave it as a kind of test recording?
JayaitchbeeHad intended to record bottles and jars being put into a botle band at morrison's car park. Some skateboarders were nearby and it's their voices you can hear. Too much wind noise, though.
MarkGallacherDavid, maybe you need to check out the second-hand market - or find out if you can 'loan' some recording equipment at your local college ,,,,
davidrI'll bear it in mind, but why did I post my comment twice?
gregmcqueenIt's a mixture of finding the right level and being aware of them. Once you know certain words blast the mic you learn to soften them. I normally blast it, stop, and then repeat what I said making sure I soften the word a bit.
davidrThanks Greg. Still a bit mithered on explosive consonants and sibilants, but I'm working on them by utilising the level adjustments on Audacity.
