ColtSeavershahahaha :D I've no idea - but it's great that you got it 'down' in time before it slipped from memory. Quite bizarre! Maybe you're feeling guilty for misunderstanding your freezer?
artpunk@Colt, I like those photoboo ideas and will add them to our discussion on this very interesting app. I also really enjoy your boos, thank you!
@Philip, thanks again for another fun discussion and all the work you put into these podcasts behind the scenes as well, it is much appreciated! Speedlight? I don't feel that flash this morning! ;-)>
PhotogeekPodcast uploaded at exactly 12.00 midnight and now I am off to bed. Cheers and thanks again Cameron James Speedlight. Or whatever it is.
ColtSeaversFor me, the most interesting use of AudioBoo for Photographers, is the ability to narrate to a photo that has full gps info, is locatable on google maps, and can, using already available apps, be plotted along a route.
Not only would other photographers, seeking to try their hand at a similar shot of 'whatever', be able to exchange shots and gps coords, but other lovers of 'whatever' would be able to easily visitm just by typing coords into tomtom - or whatever app comes out for the iPhone now that the google world API is licensed and usable.
Finally, outreach. I have a d70, use it often, get some half decent shots, and would like to know more. However, with a wealth of obsessive interestes and limited hours in a day, I tend not to ever consider reading about photography on the web - until now.
Some people have been really nice to me on AudioBoo and it made me think, with us all exposing our voices and thoughts to each other, unscripted, if one enjoys a person's Boos, then it's right that the Boo-er is aware of this. You should know, I find your Boo's an absolute pleasure and look forward to more.
artpunkThis was my second attempt at 'in the field' social booing with some friends at a melbourne Flickr Photo meetup. The only problem with doing this is that we usually meet up at a pub somewhere after walking about for a bit (or not) Sometimes we skip the walk and just head straight for the pub. I had already had one beer when I decided to try this, so was a bit lightheaded already (I truly am a very cheap drunk) Anyway it was slightly chaotic (the initial one so much so that I thought it best to delete it, but I'm not sure if I should have done that now, just for archival sake). I used the pause resume function to capture a few comments from some of the people I knew there and this was the result. I forgot all about it until I got home which is why I am uploading it about 7 hours after the event...
