RADIO FESTIVAL RADIO (in association with AudioBoo)
This year, Festival Radio will be working to create regular Boos and daily review shows, through RadioTalk, that capture the atmosphere of the Festival - finding out about the latest technology, catching up with the big names after their sessions and mingling with the delegates to find out their thoughts on the day's events.
We’ve again recruited a team of budding presenters and producers and, under the expert guidance of Heather Davies and assisted by Sarah Grun and Robin Murphy, we’ll be bringing you the info on all aspects of this year's Radio Festival.
Daily Boos featuring the biggest names, backstage gossip and breaking news from the world of music.
Boos are brought to you by the Music News team at BBC Radio 6 Music - Matt Everitt, Adrian Larkin and Elizabeth Alker.
The People’s Songs is a weekly series starting in January 2013 on BBC Radio 2.
Across 50 episodes, Stuart Maconie will present the epic story of how modern Britain was fashioned and shaped, as told by the music, stories and memories of this nation’s people.
From “We'll Meet Again” to “Ghost Town”, from “Rehab” to “God Save The Queen”, we’ll tell the story of modern Britain via the records that sound-tracked the times - a period of conflict, social change, parties, prosperity, plenty, poverty, peace and war.
This is a people's history; these are The People's Songs; YOU can help us make history!
Your Boos, memories, photos, comments, and song suggestions will shape each programme. Have a listen to our preview clips and contributions from other listeners and visit bbc.co.uk/peoplesongs to find out more.
You can also phone us and leave a message on our answerphone by calling 01184 138277 (standard geographic charges from landlines and mobiles will apply).
Absolute Radio is the home of music, comedy and football. We'll be posting boos from the likes of Frank Skinner, Dave Gorman, Christian O'Connell and Ian Wright. We'll also be keeping you up to speed with who's popping in for a chat.
