    • Dramagirl Thanks guys. Good to hear from you. Queensland is in a post-disaster recovery period which could take months, perhaps years to work through. I'm safe here - I have my home and my life. What's a bit of mud after all? I'm not making light of the devastation that has crippled other people in saying this - just working through, thinking ahead, staying positive. Keep us in mind.

You're right, social media has been a wonderful tool for people to communicate, express their feelings and also coordinate rescue efforts. As an ex-Bris-Vegas boy I've been following what my friends and family have been posting across Twitter and Facebook and shocked by the magnitude of the devastation.
