plizares May I please clarify that I lived in New York between the ages of 2 and 6, i.e. I basically learnt how to speak there. I was born in Manila, the Philippines, but left at the age of 2. I lived in Toronto when I was 7 years old, and then I moved back to Manila, but only for a couple of years. When I was almost 10, I moved to Madrid, where I learnt Spanish. I am now bilingual in English and Spanish. So the title 'New York USA 1978 female' is misleading. I would say that I spent most of my childhood in the USA and in Canada, and all of my adolescence in Madrid. That's why my accent isn't really a New York one.
