Variety recently reported that Hollywood singer Britney Spears has come away with a landmark deal with a renowned publishing house.
Spears has agreed to partner up with Simon & Schuster to publish the star’s memoir. The tell-all will reveal the star’s rise to fame, her career in music and her family relationships. The details pertaining to the partnership has not been disclosed to the public, but it’s rumored that it’s ‘record breaking’ and believed to be as much as $15 million. It’s also believed that Simon & Schuster came out on top versus a bidding war with other publishers.
Spears has made headlines following a forced work agreement between her and a court-ordered conservatorship. The singer continued touring since 2007 and said that she ‘pleaded’ for a break, with a public testimony saying that she wanted ‘her life back’.
Recently, an LA Superior Court judge terminated Britney’s conservatorship, although the star is still embroiled in a legal battle.
