The Duchess of Sussex’s dress in her appearance at the Oprah Winfrey interview will be featured and put up on display at The Fashion Museum.
The no-holds-barred conversation featured Meghan in a Giorgio Armani black silk dress, which went on to become one of her most iconic looks. The former Hollywood star sat down with Oprah alongside her husband, Prince Harry in 2021.
The Bath museum now has the dress on display, featuring the silk-georgette and tea length dress with matching belt and white lotus flower embroidery. The museum said that it’s the final item to the ongoing ‘A History of Fashion in 100 Objects’ exhibit.
Ibrahim Kamara and Gareth Wrighton, Dazed editors said that they held the image of Meghan and Harry as they watched the now-iconic interview as an anti-establishment moment that will endure in Britain’s collective consciousness. The look Meghan wore is ‘firmly ingrained’ in the pop culture psyche, mostly because of its association with the viral interview.
