Attendees of the ‘Donda 2’ event in Miami were surprised to hear an interlude with Kim Kardashian’s voice on it.
Kanye ‘Ye’ West debuted with a follow-up album, ‘Donda 2’ on February 22. A number of samples were featured, one of which came with a Kim K. opener for the song ‘Sci-Fi’. The words were ‘I married the best rapper of all time. Not only that- he is the richest Black man in America’. The words came from a debut monologue in October for Saturday Night Live.
The Miami venue was kept pitch dark all throughout, and at the center stage was a burning house surrounded by water.
Collaborators with Ye’s album include The Game, Jack Harlow and Alicia Keys. Notable attendees included Rick Ross, French Montana and Elon Musk, among others. West recently mentioned that his latest album will not be on mainstream music platforms but exclusively on his own, the Stem Player.
